Whether local or passing through Chippewa Falls, guests are continually surprised by the hidden gem that is our Museum of Industry and Technology. For decades CFMIT has been showcasing the rich local history that makes Chippewa Falls a pioneer in technology, and even our building is tied to the vast shoe industry that was "Made in Chippewa".

Every year, we are privileged to reach a wider range of people and share our passion for preserving Chippewa Falls' local industrial and technological history and the impact these industries had on shaping our region.

For the countless guests who have visited in the last few years, our main exhibits have continued to inspire and enlighten. Many people come from all over the country and the world to visit our rare collections showcasing the mastery and innovations of Chippewa Falls technology. There is always something new to see and experience.

Our History
Established in May 1998, our mission is to document, preserve, and promote the industrial and technological history of the Chippewa Valley for the benefit of our community. We also offer educational programs for children and community members, showcasing how businesses have operated both in the past and present.
